Do you remember Joey Tribbiani screaming this line to Chandler Bing in the two-part season 4 finale of everyone’s all-time favorite sitcom, FRIENDS? The episode “The One With Ross’s Wedding” broadcasted in 1998 and most parts of it were actually filmed in locations in London, England. The gang, minus Phoebe Buffay played by Lisa Kudrow, went to London for Ross Geller’s (David Schwimmer) wedding to Emily Waltham (Helen Baxendale). But before the actual wedding, Joey and Chandler decided to go out of their hotel and visit nearby places in the city. Joey even had this pop-out map of London, which he ridiculously stepped on to see the way to their first stop: Westminster Abbey.

Can you imagine the struggles of going around the city with a foldable map? And even if you are not as clueless as Joey or as impatient like Chandler, touring London with a pop-out map and without a tour guide can be challenging.

Something New!

Today, it’s a good thing you can go around any city in the world equipped with your own mobile phone or with GPS systems in your car. If you’re someone who is not fond of carrying a piece of paper or a booklet of map, this is recommended for you. You can also look for affordable accommodations in London using the same web-based features.

With just a few clicks, you can navigate using Google Maps, IOS Maps, or other community-based mapping like Waze and you can go to your destinations without worrying about getting lost along the way. With a few searches on the web, you can also find a list of places to visit or things to do in London. There are also websites or applications that can give you reviews of tourist attractions and restaurants. Create a list of the must-visit places and be sure to bring your camera with you.
